MTS introduces Blaze 4.5 CDMA/ GSM dual-SIM Android phone for INR 9,999

MTS Blaze 4.5Telecom operator MTS India has announced the launch of a new Android smartphone in the country. Part of the company’s Blaze line-up, the phone is dubbed as MTS Blaze 4.5.

This ZTE-made smartphone comes with CDMA/ GSM dual-SIM support, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, Android 4.1.2, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The Blaze 4.5 also packs 4.5-inch FWVGA display, 5MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, and 1600 mAh battery. In addition, the phone supports connectivity options like EVDO Rev A, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.

On the software front, apart from the obsolete Android 4.1.2, MTS has included Live TV streaming, integrated music player and something called Piano lock, using which One can lock the device by selecting any 3 keys of the piano on the home screen and play those 3 keys to unlock it.

MTS has priced Blaze 4.5 at INR 9,999 and is offering 100,000 MB of free data, which will be valid for 1 year, but the consumers will have recharge with INR 198 first to get the free data credit.

    Why is it that the CDMA Android phones are always 2-3 generations behind in features and inflated prices?
