Motorola starts rolling out Android 4.4.3 update for Moto X, G & E

Moto X, Moto G and Moto ESeveral Nexus device users are still waiting for Android 4.4.3 OTA update but Motorola has already started rolling out Android 4.4.3 update for select Moto X, Moto G and Moto X units.

According to the company, the update is now live for T-Mobile Moto X users and will be released for US Moto G users (who bought the phone online) Moto G LTE users, Brazilian Moto G users and  Moto E online buyers in US and Canada this week.

The new update brings improved dialler with UI changes, several stability and security fixes, and enhancements to the power profile capabilities. The update also comes with these Motorola device specific changes:

  • Improved camera image quality for Moto X including better consistency of exposure, more realistic flash colouring, and improved photos in low light conditions using front camera.
  • For Moto X and Moto G, pausing for video recording with a convenient pause/resume button on the viewfinder.
  • Motorola Alert in this update for Moto X and Moto G users. This new app helps give peace of mind by sending periodic messages to the contacts you choose.

There is no word for the update roll-out in other markets including India but given Motorola’s track record, you shouldn’t have to wait long.

There is a good news for Moto E buyers, Motorola has also stated that Android 4.4.3 is not the promised major Android update and they will be getting the next major Android update.
