Samsung seems to be preparing successors to its Galaxy Mega smartphones, which will be released later this year. One of these upcoming Galaxy Mega successors has appeared in the GFXbench database, in turn revealing the key specifications.
As per GFXbench website, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 SM-G7508 will come with a 5.9-inch 720p HD display and will be powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor (likely be 64-bit 410, as suggested by the presence of Adreno 306 GPU).
Among other specifications, the phone will pack 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 12MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and NFC. It will run on Android 4.4 KitKat.
There is no word on the release date right now but we expect to see the phone around the launch of Note 4 as an affordable alternative to the flagship phablet. We hope to get more details in the coming weeks.
