Xiaomi’s first tablet ‘Mi Pad,’ which was unveiled in May, today went on sale in China and the limited available stock was sold out in the matter of minutes.
According to the company, it had put 50,000 units of Mi Pad on sale and all of these units were grabbed by the consumers in just 3 minutes and 59 seconds. The unit sales are hardly surprising as Xiaomi is known for such flash sales and almost always the products get sold out in the matter of minutes and sometimes even seconds.
Xiaomi Mi Pad has been released in multiple colour options like Pink, Green, Blue, Yellow and White and costs 1499 yuan ($240) for 16GB version and 1699 yuan ($272) for 64GB version.
To remind you, the tablet features a 7.9-inch 2048x1536p display, Tegra K1 quad-core SoC, 2GB of RAM, Android 4.4.2 based MIUI 6.0 and 8MP rear camera.
There is no word on the when the next stock will arrive or when the tablet will be released in other markets where the company currently operates.
