Soon after starting an online teaser campaign for the release of N1 Mini smartphone in India, Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has started sending out invites for the launch event of the smartphone in the country. The company is hosting a press event on August 11, where it will officially unveiling the phone for the Indian market.
The company has not revealed any specific details at this point but with less than four days to go for the release day, we won’t have to wait for long to get the official word.
To remind you, Oppo N1 Mini is a smaller variant of the company’s N1 smartphone, which comes with a 5-inch 720p HD display, 2GB of RAM, 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and 13MP rotating camera capable of capturing 24MP images. In addition, the phone packs 16GB of internal storage, Android 4.3 based Color OS, 2140 mAh battery, 4G LTE and the usual connectivity options.
The smartphone will be joining the company’s Find 7a, N1, R1, Find 5 Mini, Neo, Joy and Yoyo smartphones in the country.
In related news, Oppo recently released the N1 Mini smartphone in Malaysian market, where it will be sold for RM 1,398 (INR 26,700). We expect a similar pricing in India.
