German blog All about Samsung is reporting that the recently rumoured August 4 announcement date for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Alpha smartphone is not true and in fact the phone will be unveiled on August 13. The blog notes that the release date was changed recently due to some reason.
The publication has also got hold of the AnTuTu benchmark screenshots of the Galaxy Alpha, which have in turn revealed the full specifications of the phone. These specifications are same as the ones sighted on GFXbench website a few weeks ago.
According to All About Samsung, the Galaxy Alpha will come with a 4.8-inch 720p HD display, Exynos 5433 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 12MP rear camera, and 32GB of internal storage. The phone runs on Android 4.4.4 and will include the company’s Touchwiz customisations.
As per reports, the Galaxy Alpha sports an aluminium frame as well as sides but the back will still be plastic. Find out more about Galaxy Alpha in related links below.
