Like Lenovo, Asus has started its IFA journey with an Intel-powered Android tablet. Part of the company’s MeMo Pad line-up, the new MeMO Pad 7 ME572C tablet will be arriving in late-Q3 or early-Q4 for starting 199 euros around the world.
The new tablet sports a 7-inch 1920x1200p IPS display, 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Z3560 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16/ 32GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. It runs on Android 4.4 and packs the company’s Zen UI customisations. Among other specifications, Asus has included 5MP rear camera, and 2MP front shooter.
The Asus MeMo Pad 7 ME572C will be released in Burgundy Red, Champagne Gold and Gentle Black colour options. The company will also be launching an LTE variant – ME572CL in select markets but details are unclear about the variant right now.
Zenfone Europe launch:
In related news, Asus revealed that after a huge success in Asian markets, the company is ready to bring the Zenfone line-up in Europe. The Zenfone smartphones will be launched in the European countries in Q4 with LTE support. There is no word on the pricing at this moment.
