Xiaomi Redmi 1S goes on sale in India today for INR 5,999


Redmi 1S saleXiaomi and Flipkart are all set to start taking orders for the Redmi 1S smartphone at 2PM later today in the Indian market. This is the first sale for this budget Android smartphone in the country, which will retail for INR 5,999 and comes bundled with a screen protector and Micro-SIM adapter.

According to e-retailer Flipkart, around 40,000 units of the phone are available, however the deliveries for these orders will take 7-10 days.  A total of over 250,000 consumers have registered for today’s sale, indicating that we are going to see a sell-out in a matter of one or two seconds.

To remind you, Xiaomi Redmi 1S is budget Android smartphone, which comes with 4.7-inch 720p HD display, 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 2000 mAh battery and Android 4.3-based MIUI v5 UI. The phone also packs 8MP rear camera, 1.6MP front camera, dual-SIM support, 3G and FM radio.

Redmi 1S accessories don’t seem to have been listed on Flipkart at the time writing this report.

In related news, Flipkart has started shipping the Mi 3 accessories like screen protector, flip cover as well as Mi power bank to the consumers, who had pre-ordered them.

    already registered,got the countdown,sat before the pc at 1.30,watching the countdown,after o got buy it now option,just clicked buy it now,it says out of stock,i have been waiting for half an hour in front of computer,i dont know how ,within a second it goes out of stock,feels disgusting,fuck u mi….

      Yes, countdown was not coming in IE.
