Asus Zenfone 5 A450CGAsus has announced that it will be adding 100,000 units of the Zenfone-series smartphones to the depleted stock on Flipkart.com as well as Asus stores tomorrow i.e. October 6. There is no word on how many units will each of the phones – Zenfone 4, 4.5, 5 and 6 – will be getting but given there are just 1 lakh units for the whole-series, there won’t be many units of each variant of the Zenfone smartphones.

“Our experience for the Zenfone Series in India has been tremendous. Zenfones have successfully reached audiences in more than 300 cities all across India. In order to add to the festivity and reciprocate the constant demand received from Indian masses, we have announced the availability of 1 lakh units across variants. Although we believe that 1 lakhs units would not be enough and we are still working towards augmenting the number of units to be available. This is an endeavour to convey our best wishes to all our existing and prospective customers and to reiterate of commitment towards delivering incredible,” said Peter Chang, Regional Head – South Asia & Country Manager – System Business Group – ASUS India.

The company has also revealed that it has sold over 2 lakh units of the Zenfone smartphones within a quarter in the country and plans to continue adding more stock to match the demand.

To remind you, Asus Zenfone 5 and 6 are sold via Flipkart.com and Asus stores across the country, however Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 4 A450CG are exclusive to Flipkart.

  1. It’s not a good commercial strategy for asus ! the whole world is waiting for zenFone and focusing in a single land will make the interest in zenFone fade by time.
