Lenovo on Thursday unveiled the new Yoga Tablet 2 at a press event in London. The Yoga Tablet 2 will be available in 8-inch and 10-inch display sizes and can be ordered from the company website in UK starting today. The new tablets are powered by Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processor and run on Android 4.4 KitKat. The company also plans to release Windows versions of these tablets.
“Our second generation YOGA Tablets give users the freedom to do more – go hands free and hang the tablet from the wall with the new Hang mode; get unparalleled sound on a tablet with loaded audio features; and choose the operating system that’s right for them – Android or Windows,” said Jeff Meredith, vice president, Marketing, Lenovo Mobile Business Group.
According to Lenovo, the tablets pack 2GB of RAM, 1920x1200p display, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera, and 1.6MP front camera. In addition, the tablets come with Lenovo Premium Apps like SHAREit and SYNCit.
The company will be releasing the new Yoga Tablet 2 in Wi-Fi only and 4G variants, however the exact pricing of each variant is unclear. We do know that 8-inch models will be priced starting 229 pounds and 10-inch model will retail beginning 299 pounds.
