LG unveils F60 Android phone with 4G LTE support

LG F60LG on Wednesday expanded its F-series of 4G LTE smartphones with the announcement of new F60 smartphone. This entry-level smartphone will go on sale this week in Europe, followed by markets in Asia and Americas.

“LG continues to demonstrate its advanced 4G LTE knowledge by bringing to global consumers better and better mobile devices that take full advantage of today’s most advanced wireless infrastructure. The LG F60 offers a premium user experience for young and old users alike who are looking for the fastest mobile experience possible at a reasonable price,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.

LG F60 features a 4.5-inch WVGA display, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor (most likely Snapdragon 200), 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. The smartphone also packs 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 2100 mAh battery, Android 4.4.2 and the usual set of connectivity options.

According to LG, F60 will come pre-loaded with the software customisations like Gesture Shot, Front Camera Light, Touch & Shoot as well as Knock Code.

The company plans to launch both dual-SIM and single-SIM variants of the phone, however it is not confirmed which markets will get which variant.
