Panasonic unveils T40 Android phone in India, priced at INR 5,990

Panasonic T40Panasonic has introduced a new Android smartphone in the Indian market. Part of the company’s T-series, the new Panasonic T40 has been priced at INR 5,990 and is now available in the country in Black, White and Red colour options.

“In order to sustain in the market, Panasonic India is constantly undergoing innovation to deliver products as per the expectations of its customers. The launch of this model reinstates our commitment of delivering affordable devices providing the greatest innovation to our consumer with an uncompromised usage experience” said Manish Sharma, Managing Director, Panasonic India.

According to a press note issued by Panasonic, T40 features a 4-inch WVGA display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.4.2. The phone also packs 8GB of on-board storage, microSD card slot, 5MP rear camera, and a front camera. In addition, the company has included 1500 mAh battery, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS on the phone.

On the software front, the Panasonic T40 comes pre-loaded with a number of enhancements like Gesture Play+, Pop-I Player, Music Café and more.

At this price-tag, it will be competing with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Asus Zenfone 4, Moto E, and Micromax Unite 2 in the country.

    At same price or just by adding Rs.1000 many better options available… Android one with upgrade promise, recent huawei launch Honor Holly at 7k, Moto E price cut version and above all the RedMi 1…. it looks hard for Panasonic to make any impact… all the best 🙂
