HTC is reportedly planning to launch another mid-range Android smartphone in the coming days. To be part of the company’s Desire-series, this phone will be known as Desire 626.
According to @upleaks, HTC Desire 626 will be released in two variants, which could be Desire 626 and Desire 626Q. One of these variants will be powered by MediaTek 6572 octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM and other will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM.
Rest of the specifications of both variants will be same like 5-inch HD display, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter, 2000 mAh battery and 4G LTE support.
@upleaks notes that the Desire 626 will be launched with Android 4.4 on-board , but will be getting Android 5.0 soon after. The Twitter user has also shared a few products shots of the smartphone, which is likely to reach China first, given the Chinese carrier logos on the back, and then other markets.
There is no word on the pricing at this point, but we hope to see the official announcement soon.
