Samsung seems to be preparing a new Galaxy J-series for budget 4G LTE smartphones and the first smartphone of this line-up has leaked online. Set to be dubbed as Samsung Galaxy J1, the phone is expected to be announced in the coming weeks and will feature entry-level specifications.
According to SamMobile, the phone will pack a 4.3-inch WVGA display, 1.2GHz 64-bit quad-core Marvell PXA1908 processor, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.4. J1 will also include 5MP rear camera, 2MP front shooter, and 1850 mAh battery. Check out the detailed rumoured specification at the end of the report.
It would be interesting to see how Samsung differentiates Galaxy J-series with other budget smartphones. Also, the company was supposed to reduce the size of its smartphone portfolio this year, but that doesn’t seem to be happening. Clearly, the Q3, 2014 results weren’t enough of a wake-up call for the company.
