Taiwan’s Verico enters Indian market, launches Uni SHAPE 5V3 phone

Verico Uni SHAPE 5V3Yet another smartphone maker, in the form of Taiwan’s Verico, has entered the already crowded Indian market. The company on Thursday announced that it is launching entry-level Uni SHAPE 5V3 smartphone as its product in the country.

The new smartphone will be available exclusively at Snapdeal.com for INR 8,999 in Black colour option.

India is an exciting market for Verico and we feel the timing is right to enter and leverage the explosive demand for Smartphones, Tablets and related accessories,” said Kuldip Sengar, CEO, Verico India.

Coming to the smartphone specifics, the Verico Uni SHAPE 5V3 features a 5-inch qHD display, 1.3GHz ARM cortex-A7 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. The phone runs on outdated Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and packs 13MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter on the imaging front.

According to Verico, the phone also sports a touch-sensitive back-panel, which can be used scroll content, tap, or snap photos. It is something that is not commonly found in the smartphones of this price-bracket.
