Moto E (2nd Gen)After getting everyone’s hopes up for something unique, Motorola on Wednesday revealed that it is just announcing the new Moto E (2nd Gen) smartphone, which will be released in 4G LTE, 3G as well as 3G dual-SIM versions.

“We’re introducing the next generation, packed with more features and functionality to give people around the world even greater access to life’s possibilities – without a hefty price tag. It will face tough competition from Asus Zenfone 5 if it’s priced more than INR 7000. Zenfone 5 has 2GB RAM, 8MP camera with LED flash and 5 inch screen. Why would anyone buy Mote E then ?

Because Moto has many more advantages like better software features, spill resistance and not everyone is in the market for a 5 inch display

no flash (even one that barely work would have something to talk about), the bezels are just too thick. i remember thrashing xperia e3 for the fat bezels but moto just pulled the same. internal storage, battery and camera (this one has to be checked) are definite improvements. but at anything more than 6k, it is going to face steep competition from android ones, specially now it ships with android 5.1. maybe too steep to survive.

I can agree the presence of 5MPx AF camera to some extend, instead of now standard (in budget phones) 8MPx.. But, I don’t know why they have omitted the flash?

Not good,LTE version selling for Around Rs. 9000 has only 5mp camera that too without Flash

If this sells for INR 6999 again…It must have added an 8 mp camera instead of 5 mp which is absolutely obsolete by today’s standard.
