Lenovo TAB 2 A8 and A10Lenovo has announced two new Android tablets as a part of its Tab 2 line-up. The new Lenovo Tab 2 A8 and A10-70 tablets will be available in Q2 of this year.

Coming to the specifics, the Lenovo Tab 2 A8 features an 8-inch HD IPS display, 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and Android 5.0. The tablet also packs 4290 mAh battery, 8 or 16GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.

On the other hand, Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 packs a 10.1-inch full HD IPS display, 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.4. It will get Android 5.0 Lollipop in June. Other specifications of the A10-70 include 7000 mAh battery, 16B of internal storage and microSD card slot.

Both tablets will be released in Wi-Fi only as well as 4G LTE models and support Dolby Atmos technology. You can check out the detailed specifications later in the report.

“Our new tablets prove that affordability and innovation can be synonymous. In particular, bringing LTE speed and Dolby Atmos cinema sound is expected in premium devices, but we have challenged the norm and delivered these consumer-desired features to our entry A Series in order to elevate the mobile connected experience,” said Jeff Meredith, vice president and general manager, Tablets, Mobile Business Group, Lenovo.

Pricing and availability

According to Lenovo, Tab 2 A10-70 will go on sale in April for starting $199 for Wi-Fi-only models and $279 for 4G LTE models. Tab 2 A8 will be available in June starting $129 for Wi-Fi-only models and $179 for 4G LTE models.
