LG G Flex 2LG on Wednesday introduced its second curved-screen smartphone G Flex 2 in the Indian market at its yearly tech show event in New Delhi. The smartphone has been priced at INR 55,000 and will go on sale sometime later this month in Silver and Red colours. LG hasn’t shared an exact release date.

LG G Flex 2 is not only the successor to the original G Flex, but also attempts to fix the major issues that were present in its predecessor, but the hefty price-tag is likely to be a hindrance in the uptake of this smartphone.

The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch full HD P-OLED display and is powered by 2.0GHz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor. It also comes with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and microSD card slot.

Other specifications of the phone include 3000 mAh battery, 13MP rear camera with laser auto-focus, & OIS+, 2.1MP front shooter and 4G LTE support.

According to LG, G Flex 2 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and includes software tweaks like Gesture shot, Gesture view, Glance View, and Fast Charge. The phone also features the self-healing back cover like its predecessor and LG has been able to reduce the healing time to just 10 seconds at room temperature.

LG Watch Urbane coming in April

In related news, LG also revealed at the event that its Android Wear-powered Watch Urbane will be coming to India in April. There is no word on the pricing at this moment. You can read more about the smartwatch at this link.
