Meizu has announced on social media that it is entering the Indian market soon, making it the third young Chinese smartphone maker after Xiaomi and OnePlus to reach the country.
Meizu India has not revealed when exactly it will launch the first product, but if the teasers on the company’s official Facebook page are any indication, we can expect to see M1 Note as its first smartphone in the country.
For those of you, who haven’t heard of Meizu before today, it originally used to make music players in the Chinese markets and jumped in the smartphone arena with the launch of M8 smartphone, which ran on Windows CE 6. It was the only smartphone from the company to not run Android apart from a variant of MX3, which runs on Ubuntu. Like Xiaomi, Meizu has also customizes Android heavily and its version is called Flyme OS.
Coming to Meizu M1 Note, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD display, 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6752 octa-core processor and 2GB of RAM. The phone also packs 13MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter, 16/ 32GB of internal storage, dual-SIM support and 3140 mAh battery.
We expect to hear more details from the company soon.
