Android for Work app lands in Google Play
When Google officially announced the arrival of Android for Work in February this year, only devices running Android 5.0 or above had access to this solution, but that is changing now as the company has released Android for Work application in Google Play. This app adds the necessary support needed to make Android for Work operate on Android devices with versions 4.0 to 4.4.
With the new Android for Work app, the businesses around the world will be able to allow their employees to use their personal devices for work. Google has however noted that Android for Work is only compatible with the company’s partner solutions like Enterprise Mobility Management systems from BlackBerry, Citrix, SAP, Soti and more. Now ask Google on desktop to find your phone
Google has added the support for Find My Phone feature in Google Search on desktop. If you are signed in Google, you can simply ask the search engine to find your phone and it will give the location of your device. You can even ring your phone from search itself. No need to open Android Device Manager website to quickly find your phone, however for advanced tasks like wiping or locking your phone in case of theft, you will still have visit Android Device Manager.
“If the pesky phone is hiding nearby, Google can ring it for you — or you can see it on the map if you, say, forgot it at the bar. Just make sure you’ve got the latest version of the Google app,” wrote Google in a Google+ post.
Google releases updated version of Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides apps
In more Google news, the company has released the updated versions of its Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides apps in Google Play.
According to Google, the updated version of the Drive app brings support for 23 new languages including Canadian French and Malayalam. In addition, the app will now also allow you to share a file directly from an upload notification.
“Along with a host of performance improvements, you’ll be able to share a recently uploaded file directly from the notification you receive once a new file upload finishes. This lets you get that recently snapped photo or PDF download to the people you want to share it with even faster,” explained Google Drive team in Google+ post.

Docs: Now view and act on suggestions from collaborators in Docs on your Android devices. Also see tracked changes and comments in Microsoft Word files.
Sheets: Now move, resize, and delete charts on the go
Slides: Performance enhancements & ability to reorder objects to the front or back
