iBall Andi 5F InfinitoEvery few weeks, some or the other Indian smartphone vendor comes with a smartphone that packs a mammoth battery, but more than often they sacrifice other features of the phone to keep the pricin in check and iBall’s new Andi 5F Infinito is no different.

Priced at INR 7,999, the smartphone carries a 4000 mAh battery, but the screen resolution is just qHD when HD displays have become a commonplace in smartphones priced over INR 6,000. Other specifications are also not as impressive as the battery, but they will work for most consumers. The phone packs 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera and 3.2MP front shooter.

iBall Andi 5F Infinito is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor of unknown make and comes with 1GB of RAM, Android 4.4, 3G and dual-SIM support. The company has promised to provide the Android 5.0 update, but there is no timeline available at this point.

“At iBall we have always catered to the needs of our consumers and iBall Andi 5F Infinito is one such offering. Users have become heavy users of smartphone and need for big battery is imminent. iBall Infinito with big 4000mAh battery yet packed in very appealingly designed phone is bound to make every user thrilled with the experience,” said Sandeep Parasrampuria, Director, iBall.

its not just the sacrifice in features but rarely that added battery capacity yields any proper difference. loaded with a ton of random apps they just eat through the battery. in practice, a similar phone with half the battery capacity with cleaned up rom will last same time as these 4000mAh phones with junk UI, bloatware apps and unoptimized OS.
