Intex’s Cloud M6 is a 5-inch budget Android phone

Intex Cloud M6Indian smartphone vendor Intex has come up with a new budget Android smartphone. Part of the company’s affordable Cloud line-up, the new Intex Cloud M6 carries a price-tag of INR 4,999. According to Intex, the phone will retail exclusively via Flipkart.com in the country.

“The Cloud M6 is another step towards, conceiving and improvising our offerings to best meet the demands of the consumers. We believe in providing our customers with products that fulfill their needs at the best and are suitable to the pocket. This new product is bundled with best of design, colors and features at a market best price,” said Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies, in a press statement.

Intex Cloud M6 comes with a 5-inch IPS screen, 1.2GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731 processor and 1.5GB of RAM. The phone also packs 8MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter and dual-SIM support.

In addition, the company has included 3G support, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slotFM Radio and 2000 mAh battery in the Cloud M6. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.4.2, however there is no word on the Lollipop update for the phone, which it is unlikely to ever recieve.

Intex has noted that Cloud M6 will be available for purchase in Black and White colours.
