Play Services 7.3: Now connect multiple Android Wear devices to a single phone
Google has announced that it is finished the Google Play Services 7.3 roll-out, which had started sometime back. The new version of Play Services brings a number of improvements for developers, but for the consumers, there is one major change. The consumers can now connect multiple Android Wear devices with a single Android phone, granted you have the latest version of Android Wear companion app. So, in case you have two Android Wear smartwatches, you will be able to pair them both with your phone.
If you are looking for Android app-development specific changes in the Play Services 7.3, you can check out the official Android Developers blog post.
Even more app cards in Google Now
The search giant has stated that it has added 70 new partners, who are working to bring information cards to Google Now. You can check out the full list of the partners here. The number of supported apps, which can send information to Google Now using app cards, is still small, but Google is steadily expanding the number.
To remind you, with the new app cards, the installed apps on your Android device can give you information that’s helpful to you, right when you need it via Google Now.
Send Google Maps directions to your phone from desktop
This a slightly old news, but since we missed it when it was announced on April 24, I am adding it here. Google has noted that you can now send directions to your smartphone using Google.com. Just search for “send directions” in Google and it shows two boxes for To and From and you can add the details and then click “send directions to my phone link” below.
