HTC One M8 Google Play edition gets Android 5.1 update

Android 5.1 for HTC One M8 GPe

After rolling out Android 5.1 update for the Google Play editions (GPe) of the Moto G and LG G Pad 8.3 devices, Google has released the update for HTC One M8 GPe. The update is now available over-the-air and can be checked by going to Settings > About Phone > Software update.

Android 5.1 update for One M8 GPe is over 244MB in size and brings the usual performance enhancements, bug fixes and small feature updates.

Huawei Expo aka SnapTo budget Android phone now on pre-order at Amazon

Huawei has launched a new budget Android smartphone in the US. Dubbed as Huawei Expo aka SnapTo, the smartphone is now on pre-order at Amazon and will begin shipping on April 9.

The smartphone carries a price-tag of $179.99 and is being offered in White and Black colours.

Huawei Echo aka SnapTo

Huawei SnapTo features a 5-inch HD display, 4G LTE support, Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor and Android 4.4 with EM UI. The phone also packs 1GB of RAM, 2200 mAh battery, 5MP rear camera and 2MP front shooter. It will compete with Moto G (2nd gen) in the country.

AT&T releases Android 5.0 for Samsung Galaxy S4

AT&T and Samsung have released the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Galaxy S4 users. The update is now available over-the-air. It carries build number LRX22C.1337UCUGOC3 and is over 940MB in size. Expect the usual Lollipop goodies.
