Android 5.1.1 update live for Nexus 9 (Wi-Fi)

Google Nexus 9Google has rolled-out the new Android 5.1.1 update for Nexus 9 tablet. The Wi-Fi version of the slate is getting the update now over-the-air (OTA) and it will soon reach all units. There is no word on the LTE version update, but it shouldn’t take long.

The search giant has also published the factory images based on the new version on its developer website.

After some initial delay, Nexus 9 has been quite quick in getting the minor Android updates and in a matter of days, the tablet has received Android 5.0.2, Android 5.1 and now, Android 5.1.1. Although these update don’t bring any major features, they do include important fixes for the bugs plaguing the device.

Motorola begins testing for the Moto X (1st Gen) Lollipop update

Motorola’s David Schuster has revealed on Google+ that the company is started testing of the Lollipop update for the Moto X (1st Gen) smartphone in US and Latin American regions. If everything goes well, the final update is expected to go live in the next few weeks.

As Motorola had earlier stated, Moto X (1st Gen) will be jumping directly to Android 5.1.

Lenovo A7000 reaches Malaysia

Lenovo has launched the A7000 smartphone in the Malaysian market. The phone will be available in the country exclusively via e-retailer Lenovo A7000

The Lenovo A7000 has been priced at RM699, but Lazada is offering it for as low as RM625. To remind you, the phone features 5.5-inch HD display, octa-core MediaTek processor, 2GB of RAM, 2900 mAh battery, 8MP primary camera and 5MP front shooter.
