Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has announced that it has reduced the price of A1 smartphone in the Indian market. The smartphone, which was available for INR 19,999, will now retail at INR 16,999.
This isn’t all, Gionee has also partnered with Jio to provide free data to the A1 buyers. The Gionee A1 buyers will receive additional 60 GB Jio 4G data with a recharge of INR 309. Additionally, the A1 buyers will also get cashback vouchers from PayTM.
Launched back in March this year, the Gionee A1 features a metal unibody design with 5.5-inch IPS FHD display. The phone is powered by MediaTek Helio P10 processor and packs 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage. Gionee has also included a decent 4010 mAh battery, dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE connectivity and a fingerprint sensor in the smartphone.
For your camera needs, there is a 16MP front selfie shooter and a 13MP primary camera on the back of the handset.
It is being offered in Grey, Black and Gold colours in the country.
Gionee claims that A1 has been a big success for the company.
“The launch of A1 – Gionee’s first flagship device of the year has been monumental in Gionee’s growth in the current year. The brand has secured 15% market share in the price segment of INR 18,000-20,000, owing to the soaring sales for the device,” Gionee said in a statement.
PS: Amazon India is currently selling for the phone at an even lower price of INR 15,990
