Indian smartphone maker Micromax has released a new Android smartphone – Micromax Selfie 3 – in the country. The new Selfie 3 (not to be confused with Micromax Canvas Selfie 3, which was launched in 2015) has been priced at INR 11,999 and is now on sale at the retail stores.
As the name suggests, the phone is being targeted to the consumer, who want better selfie chops in their smartphones.
“With over 93 million selfies being captured every day, people today take and retake pictures of themselves until it mirrors perfection. The all new Selfie 3 is ideal for the users, delivering fantastic images, great beauty editing tools and capture their beautiful festive memories perfectly,” said Shubhodip Pal, Chief marketing & Commercial officer, Micromax, in a statement.
Micromax Selfie 3 specifications
Starting with the front camera, the Selfie 3 includes a 16-megapixel front shooter with a Samsung sensor and LED flash. The smartphone also comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-inch full HD display and dual-SIM support.
Additionally, Micromax has packed octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, 3-gigabytes of RAM, 32-gigabytes of internal storage and 3000 mAh battery in the Selfie 3. You will also get a fingerprint sensor, 4G VoLTE support, microSD card slot and the usual set of connectivity options in the smartphone.
In terms of software, there is Android 7.1 Nougat on-board. There is no word on whether the phone will ever get the Oreo update.
