Samsung has announced that Bixby’s voice capabilities are now available for the Indian users. The company noted in a press release that Samsung Galaxy Note8, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ users will be able use Bixby Voice in US English after updating Bixby on their smartphone.
Samsung says it has optimised Bixby Voice to understand different Indian accents. So, it should ideally work for you no matter which region of the country you are from.

It’s a smarter way to use your phone and get more done. Keeping in mind the diversity in Indian accents and our commitment to ‘Make for India’, Bixby has been optimized to understand Indian accents,” said Mr. Asim Warsi, Senior Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung India.
Similar to Google’s Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa, Samsung’s Bixby Voice is a digital assistant. It allows the users to perform various tasks by simply using their voice. Here is a quick look at two key capabilities of Bixby Voice.
Voice commands: Ask your phone to do different tasks using simple voice commands. Bixby voice works with navigation apps, settings, entertainments apps and more. You can also use it to calculate stuff or call/ text contacts.
Quick Commands: Easily create a custom voice command to use in place of a sequence of one or more commands.
