Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+ & Sony Xperia XA1, XA1 Ultra get price cuts

Samsung Galaxy S8Samsung and Sony have reduced the prices of select Android smartphones in the Indian market, ahead of the festival shopping season. The companies announced these price-cuts over the last couple days and the revised pricing is now in effect at e-retailers and brick and mortar stores.

Samsung price-cuts

The Korean manufacturer Samsung has revised the prices of its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones in the country. The S8 will now carry a price tag (MOP) of INR 53,990, while the S8+ will cost (MOP) INR 60,990. Earlier, Galaxy S8 and S8+ used to retail at INR 57,900 and INR 64,900 respectively.

Samsung Galaxy S8 PlusAdditionally, Samsung has also reduced the price of Galaxy S8+ (6GB RAM + 128GB storage) variant by INR 1,000. The phone is now on sale at INR 64,900.

Sony price-cuts

Japanese tech giant Sony has corrected the prices of Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra phones in the country. The XA1 is now being sold at INR 17,990, however during Flipkartā€™s Big Billion Days sale, you can get the phone for as low as INR 16,990. On the other hand, Xperia XA1 Ultra will now retail at INR 27,990. Previously, the XA1 and XA1 Ultra used to retail at INR 19,990 and INR 29,990 respectively.
