Vivo settles V7+ front camera controversy in India

In related news, Vivo seems to have finally closed the chapter on V7+ front camera controversy in India. When Vivo unveiled the new V7+ last week, many tech bloggers noticed that the company said the phone packed a 24MP front shooter even though the underlying SoC – Snapdragon 450 – didn’t officially support the camera resolution.

Now Vivo has come out and revealed that it uses an updated version of the Snapdragon 450 processor, which indeed includes the support for 24MP cameras. The chipmaker Qualcomm also updated its website to reflect the same.
