Google has released the latest Android platform version numbers and there has been a decent jump in the number of Android devices running Jelly Bean. Android 2.3 still present on more devices than Jelly Bean & ICS combined

Being the latest Android version, Jelly Bean might still be growing but Ice Cream Sandwich is getting stagnant, shows the latest Android platform data revealed by Google. Devices running on Android 4.0 were 29.1 per cent last month, but that has gone down to 29 per cent this month.

Gingerbread continues to reign at the top as there seems to be no challenger for this OS version. We don’t see it leaving the top stop anytime soon, as the rise of ICS has stopped and Jelly Bean is not going to reach 40 per cent level anytime soon. Android 4.1 now on 2.7 per cent of Android devices

Google has released their monthly platform version numbers earlier today and they show Jelly Bean gaining some share. The Android version, which was earlier on 1.8 per cent of the devices, is now on 2.7 per cent, and this growth is likely to go up in the coming weeks as both HTC and Samsung are already releasing Android 4.1 updates for their flagship models.
