Thanks to Softbank’s Monday announcement of Sharp Aquos Crystal, we already knew that the smartphone was coming to the US and now we have more details.
US telecom operator Sprint on Tuesday issued a press release detailing the US release plans of Sharp Aquos Crystal. According to the telco, this edge-to-edge display smartphone will be launched on Sprint as well as its pre-paid brands – Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile.
Sprint notes that Virgin and Boost Mobile will sell the phone for just $149.99, while it will retail for $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $10. There is no word on the availability details right now.
“The combined power of SoftBank and Sprint will bring our customers this high-end device for an extraordinarily value. We are thrilled to welcome Sharp to the U.S. wireless market. AQUOS Crystal will quickly become a must-have smartphone, showcasing Sharp’s strength in display technology,” said David Owens, senior vice president-Product Development for Sprint.
To remind you, Sharp Aquos Crystal features a 5-inch HD display, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and Android 4.4. The phone also packs 8MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, and 2040 mAh battery.
