As expected, Asus on Monday began its Computex 2015 journey with the announcement of the new ZenPad-series of tablets. The tablet line-up currently includes four devices – ZenPad 7.0, ZenPad 8.0, ZenPad S 8.0 and ZenPad 10.1 – and will be available in the coming weeks. There is no word on the pricing at this point.

“ZenPad is a series of premium tablets that combine refined styling with incredible entertainment and productivity capabilities to redefine the tablet experience and bring true luxury to consumers,” wrote Asus in a press release. Read on for tablet-specific details.

Asus ZenPad S 8.0 is the most impressive tablet out of the newly announced ZenPads. It comes with an 8-inch 2048×1536 IPS display with 4:3 aspect ratio and is powered by Intel’s Atom Z3580 quad-core processor. Other key specifications include 4GB of RAM, front-facing stereo speakers with DTS-HD Sound, Android 5.0 with Zen UI, and

Sporting a 6.6mm-thick metallic chassis, the ZenPad S 8.0 weighs just 298 grams and will come with an optional Z Stylus and USB Type-C port.

According to Asus, ZenPad 8.0 features a leather patterning with rounded edges and a metallic frame. It also comes with interchangeable back-covers and the company will be offering multiple Zen Case back covers in different colours as well as some with extra-functionality like Zen Clutch folio, Power Case battery cover (with extra 4000 mAh battery), and an Audio Cover (with six speakers).

Specifications include 8-inch IPS 1280x800p, Intel Atom X3 quad-core processor, and Android 5.0 with Zen UI.

Asus ZenPad 7.0/ ZenPad 10.1

Asus hasn’t shared many details about these models, but the seven-inch ZenPad seems to include a 1024x600p screen and the 10-inch model will come with 1280x800p display. We can also expect these to run on Android 5.0 with Zen UI.
