Asus makes good on its promise as usual, Transformer Prime update rolling out now
Over the past few days, we’ve been talking about an update that was supposed to be rolling out to the Asus Transformer Prime. At first, we weren’t sure what the update entailed or when it would be available. Then, we found out that Face Unlock among a handful of other features and enhancements would be included and that Asus was targeting March 29th to begin rolling out the update. That was yesterday and this is today — March 29th — and just as promised Asus has once again delivered.

Apex Launcher updated to version 1.0.3 on Google Play (If you can access it)
The Google Play Store seems to be having its fair share of issues today, though I was able to manage to snag one pretty important update just a few minutes ago. Apex Launcher, one of the latest homescreen replacement applications to join the already-polluted crowd, was updated to version 1.0.3 this afternoon.

Are you experiencing issues downloading from the Google Play Store?
We’re not quite sure what to make of this just yet, as the issue just began happening, but it seems as though the Google Play Store is currently having technical difficulties. A little bit ago, I went to do my daily updating and kept getting a “connection timed out” error on certain apps and an “update could not be downloaded due to an error (927).

As we reported three weeks ago, Samsung has started rolling out the anticipated value pack update for Galaxy S users in South Korea. Company announced regarding the same on its official blog today and the release is expected to go live in other countries in the coming weeks.
Wikipedia for Android updated with improved tablet UI, Quick Search Bar integration and more
The official Wikipedia application for Android devices has just received an update to version 1.1. The upgrade brings with it an improved UI for tablet users, which I must admit, does look much better that the first release did on my Asus Transformer TF101. The Quick Search bar has also been implemented throughout the app, making it even easier to dig up those facts in times of need.

Motorola RAZR has got another price cut in the Indian Market recently and now it is available for just INR 27,749. While, this price reduction isn’t much but you are still getting around INR 2,250 off on the previous price of INR 29,999. You can now grab the smartphone at the reduced price from Flipkart.
Sony Xperia S India launch on April 10
As we reported a few days ago, Sony is expected to officially launch Company’s first self-branded Android smartphone Xperia S in the Indian market on April 10. There is no word on the pricing right, but we expect to be around INR 30,000.
Sony Xperia S was originally announced at Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year and features Android 2.3 ‘Gingerbread’. It also comes with 4.3 inch 720p display, dual core processor, 1GB RAM, and 12.1 MP camera.
With so many smartphone launches planned for next month, we are super excited here at AndroidOS.in and would love to get our hands on them ASAP.
GSM Samsung Nexus S receiving Android 4.0.4 OTA, download now if you hate waiting
If you own a GSM Samsung Nexus S, you might want to pop over to your system settings to check for an awaiting system update, assuming you are not already rooted and running a custom ROM on your device. The OTA that is making its way out to the device is labeled IMM76D and contains Android 4.0.4.

Opera Mini 7 browser now available for the taking in Google Play Store
Opera Mini 7 has been released for devices running Android 1.5 and up. The latest version of the mobile web browser brings along with it several new features, including OpenGLES hardware and NFC Beam support for devices running Android 4.0. The update also improves the Speed Dial start page, tab management and the “find-in-page” UI.

Asus sheds light on upcoming Transformer Prime update features
Yesterday, the Internet was abuzz after Asus posted on its Facebook page about an update that is on the horizon for the Transformer Prime. At the time, little was known about the update, other than it would bring with it “awesome new features”. Today, a post on the ASUS Italy Facebook page shed some light as to what these new features will be.
